What areas do you cover?

Almost all! Simply enter your postcode at the checkout stage, and you’ll be able to see your closest depot, and also generate transport costs if you require delivery and collection to and from your event venue.

Do you have a distribution centre close to me?

We have 25 distribution centres arcross the country — Alnwick, Ayr, Blackburn, Blyth, Bolton, Chorley, Cumbria, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Govan, Kirkcaldy, Liverpool, Manchester, Middlesborough, Motherwell, Newcastle, Newton le Willows, Perth, Preston, South Shields, Sunderland, Wigan, Wirral, Wythenshawe. Typically speaking, the closer you are to one of these distribution centres, the more affordable your transport charges will be, and vice-versa.

Am I able to collect in person?

Yes you are able to collect items in person and not pay transport charges, though for bulkier items we’d certainly recommend you using our transport service, providing you with a seamless delivery and collection service. Information on our distribution centre locations can be found on our website.

Do you offer a transport service?

Yes, our fleet can deliver to most parts of Scotland, North East, North West England and London and the surrounding areas.

Ordering & Payment

Do you have a minimum order value?

No, there is no minimum order value here at easyToolhire.

How soon should I make my reservation?

The simple answer to this is as far in advance as possible. We’d always recommend this as our all equipment is in high demand throughout the year, so always order early to avoid disappointment.

What about if I want to make changes to my order?

Simply email our team to make any alterations to your order and we can adjust accordingly.

I need to hire some equipment today — can you help?

We generally work on a next day onwards model, though sometimes we may be able to help you — simply contact a member of our expert sales team by email, phone or live chat who will certainly help you if they can.

How can I pay?

You can make payment online using all major credit or debit cards.

When do I pay?

Full payment is required upon order. Until full payment is received, your order is not confirmed.

When I press PAY NOW, is my card immediately charged?

No. Here at easyToolhire, we use a pre-authorisation system. This enables our sales team to check if your ‘order’ can be fulfilled before accepting it. You will be notified of order acceptance / decline of your order by email, normally the same working day that you submit your order. Don’t worry, you don’t get charged twice!

What is a pre-authorisation?

A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold (sometimes called a ‘pending transaction’) on your credit or debit card. Your bank might have already notified you of this, and you don’t need to do anything — we just wanted to make you aware of it. Only once your order is confirmed by our sales team will your card be actually charged.

What happens to the pre-authorisation charge if you decline my order?

If we have to decline your order for whatever reason, we simply cancel your pre-authorisation payment, meaning that we won’t call for the funds. Please note that your bank might occasionally reserve («ringfence») the funds for up to 5 days, and unfortunately we can’t speed up this process from our end. You can speed this up by simply calling your bank.

What equipment can I hire?

We offer everything from cherry pickers to cordless drills, mini diggers to micro diggers, generators to gardening equipment and concrete mixers to concrete finishing tools and so much more! How much equipment do you have in stock?

easyToolhire has partners across the country with over 25 depots nationally and with literally thousands of items in stock at any one time, it enables us to service customers simultaneously with the same machines.

What is my responsibility for equipment return?

Your equipment should be returned in the same condition and quantities that you received it. You will be charged a replacement fee for any items that are missing or damaged.

How can I get the best prices?

The way to get the best pricing from easyToolhire is to browse and place your order online on our website.

How does your equipment pricing work?

You pay a flat rental fee for anything up to a week’s hire, then an additional charge thereafter. All pricing is included on our website.

And what about your transport pricing?

The price of our transport service is based upon your postcode location in Scotland – the further your location from our distribution centres, the more expensive the transport becomes, and vice-versa. It also assumes standard delivery and collection, weekdays 0730hrs – 1700hrs.

Is there a refundable deposit I need to pay?

Yes, the value of which is dependent upon the value of your hire items. This is returned to you in full at the end of the hire process, assuming that you return all the hire items to us in the quantities and condition that we originally hired them to you. If not, then any damage / replacement charges are offset against your deposit and the remaining balance is then returned to the original source of the funds.

Do you price match?

We are confident that our pricing structure is one of the most competitive in the industry both in terms of the hire rates and the transport rates, and for the quality of service you will receive from an established brand.

Do you sell as well as hire?

No. All our products are for rental only.
